Next up, we have Rachel Li who also performed in #ArtsinthePark for the first time this year! She was part of Desiree Ho’s Where the Wild Things Are.

I loved… spending time with a bunch of awesome friends who love dance just as I do and rehearsing with them every week! Also, our craziness which other people won’t understand at all. I am going to miss… EVERYBODYYY! And every single rehearsal!

I learned… to choreograph creatively by looking at some photos and choreograph according to the characteristics of the object or the scenery in the photos. Also, to work together as a team!

I laugh when I think back to… the parade! All of us were super energetic and crazy. We sun-danced the whole time during the parade. We even sang while we did our dance on stage, it was like as if we’re in a musical haha.

Tell us something we don’t know… When I received my costume, I was quite disappointed as it wasn’t as I expected. However, when we performed in it, the costume turned out looking amazing! Especially when we did turns, as the ‘tentacles’ flew around and it was super cool!

It was quite challenging to... dance in our costumes as we always accidentally stepped on each other’s ‘tentacles’. Also, the stage was quite small because it was in the shape of a semi-circle, so we had to be very careful of the spacing.

What’s next…? I hope to participate more in YAF projects. Also, I hope to succeed in nailing my aerial!!

My dream superpower is… to flip and tumble wherever I am and whenever I want to.
